Description.
White jade with ochre and reddish-brown areas. It depicts a reclining dragon with a coiled body. It is notable for the meticulous bas-relief work covering the surface with a pattern of volutes, archaic spirals, fur and finely carved scales. The head has a fierce expression with bulging eyes and open jaws. Spring and Autumn period (770–476 BC).
