Description.
Jade with a reddish-golden hue. It depicts the image of Weng Zhong, one of the three treasures of the Han dynasty to ward off evil spirits, in the form of an old man with an elongated body, covered by a robe that covers him completely. The face is depicted in the form of an inverted triangle with carved eyes and mouth, topped by a traditional Chinese hat. The hands, joined together at the level of the abdomen, form folds in the robe. The foot has a hole running horizontally across it. Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8) or later.
