Description.
A carved white jade figure with a silky texture and milky finish. It shows the free-standing image of a small child, with a smiling expression and short hair, crouching under two thick bamboo branches with cylindrical and curved stems ending in elongated leaves. The piece shows excellent quality through the fine carved and relief details. The piece shows age-related wear. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
