Description.

Ivory-toned jade sculpture with brown veins, depicting a mythological dragon-like creature in a seated position. The figure, with an elegant, stylized body and upright head, displays lavish incised decoration imitating scales on the body and flowing mane along the neck. The legs and base are meticulously carved, creating hollows that emphasize the dynamism of the ensemble. The base is fully decorated with spiral motifs symbolizing clouds. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
