Description.
A pale green translucent jade sculpture of a dragon turtle (Bixi), a mythical creature of Chinese tradition, symbol of longevity, strength and protection. The piece shows a robust turtle body with detailed legs and shell, while the head takes on the features of a dragon, with prominent horns, expressive eyes and a half-open mouth revealing its fangs. The carving has fine linear engravings that highlight the scales, claws and decorative motifs on the carapace, combining volume and detail with great skill. The base of the figure is flat, allowing for stability.
