Description.
Crafted from celadon-coloured jade with a rich reddish-brown patina. It depicts a mystical bird, possibly a stylised bird of prey or owl, with a robust body and schematically folded wings. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
Accompanied by a numbered certificate, no. SC241721, issued by Hong Kong Kowloon Jade & Jewellery Laboratory LTD (30 August 2011).
