Description.
Carved from celadon-green jade. It depicts a seated figure, with her hands resting on her thighs, and facial features characterised by a prominent headdress, elongated ears, large breasts and almond-shaped eyes. The sides feature perforations to allow it to be worn as an amulet. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
