Description.
Sculpture carved in beige-toned jade with a natural patina and brown veins. It depicts a mythical beast with a robust body, standing upright on its hind legs with its head raised. Its outstretched wings, sculpted in the shape of a lingzhi, stand out. The mane flows in stylised scrolls along the neck and back. The legs are well-defined, with pronounced claws, and the tail is curled up at the rear. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
