Jade offering plate ‘Bagua’, Song style

A circular jade dish in shades of brown with reddish and ochre veins. The upper surface is finely engraved with Taoist symbolism, including multiple depictions of the Taijitu or Yin-Yang, surrounded by the eight trigrams (Bagua), accompanied by floral motifs. The slightly raised base is also decorated with intricate floral patterns in fine engraving. This piece, of great spiritual symbolism, was probably intended for ritual offerings.
