Description.
An ornamental piece of carved jade in a brownish-beige tone with ochre and gold flecks. It is finely carved and fretworked in the form of an archaic dragon with a fine intertwined body in a sinuous arrangement, with gaping jaws and sturdy legs. The surface has delicate spiral engraved details characteristic of the Han style. It shows patina from ageing.
