Jade ornament "Three Treasures" Western Han Dynasty

Description.

Three pieces of carved white jade representing the three Han treasures. On a circular jade pendant hangs a figure "翁仲" in the form of an old man, with a rectangular body, triangular head and conical foot. Next is "刚印" a "cong" amulet of rectangular shape and perforated interior, decorated with incised characters on all four sides. Finally, there is a "施南佩", a figure similar in use to a compass, composed of two rectangular bodies of curved profile crowned by a sinuous hook in the shape of a reclining "S". These three ornaments were used together as protection against evil spirits. With later decorative cord and beads. Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8)
