Description.
Nephrite jade in a soft celadon green hue with areas of alteration in reddish-brown tones. The piece depicts a stylised cicada with a robust body and schematic forms, featuring large circular eyes and a hole for hanging. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
