Description.
Carved from reddish-brown jade, it reproduces the iconic ‘C’ shape of the coiled dragon (Zhulong). The head is defined by large eyes and a prominent snout, blending porcine and mythical features. The body is adorned with a fine pattern of incised spirals. The piece displays reddish and ochre veins, as well as natural patina from ageing. Liangzhu culture (c. 3300-2300 BC).
