Description.
A sculpture carved in the round from jade of a soft celadon green tone. It depicts a dog in a resting position, with an elongated body and its head resting on its front paws. It shows areas of patina in reddish brown and ochre tones concentrated on the muzzle and ventral area. With a hole in the mouth for hanging. Hongshan culture (c. 4700-2900 BC).
The piece is accompanied by a gemological certificate issued by Hong Kong Kowloon Jade & Jewellery Laboratory LTD in 2025. SC241755.
