Description.
Carved jade pendant in an ochre hue with extensive areas of bone-coloured calcification. It has a circular or ‘jue’ shape, representing an archaic dragon with a circular body, sharp fangs and a serrated crest whose ends suggest the head and tail. Shang Dynasty (approx. 1600–1046 BC) or later.
Thickness: 0.9 cm. Diameter: 6 cm
