Description.
Round sculpture in natural nephrite jade, representing a deity or anthropomorphic figure in a squatting position. It stands out for its tall fluted headdress and large eyes. The jade, which is pale green in colour, has natural reddish-brown spots on the head and base. Hongshan culture (c. 4700-2900 BC). or later.
The piece is accompanied by a gemological certificate issued by Hong Kong Kowloon Jade & Jewellery Laboratory LTD in 2025. SC241752.
