Description.
Carved from reddish-brown jade. It depicts the silhouette of a fish with a rounded body, decorated on both sides with fine incisions detailing the spiral-shaped scales. The eye is perforated, which allowed it to be suspended. It shows patina due to age and traces of calcification. Liangzhu culture (approx. 3300–2300 BC) or later.
