Jade pendant ‘Mask’, Lower Xiajiadian culture style

Carved jade with a greenish hue, with areas of patina in brown and ochre tones. It depicts a schematic humanoid face with circular eyes, a broad smile and a wide nose. The symmetrical scroll-shaped openwork extensions on the sides are particularly noteworthy. It has holes for suspension. It shows signs of natural wear.
