Description.
White jade ring with a profuse reddish-ochre and ferruginous brown patina. The piece is circular with a high relief carving on the front depicting a mythological beast with a fierce expression, large almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose and relief scrolls that form the texture of the body. With marks of natural erosion due to age. Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD) or later.
