Description.
A seal carved from reddish-brown jade with ochre and whitish areas. The finial features a complex pyramidal composition sculpted in high relief, depicting archaic dragons entwined amongst volutes of auspicious clouds. The square plinth features an incised geometric border and bears an incised seal impression at the base reading ‘乾隆二十三年藏 五龙宝玺’. Comes with a bespoke turquoise silk case and stand. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
