Description.
A seal carved in white jade with copper-coloured veins, consisting of a polished rectangular base and a superimposed zoomorphic figure representing a dog in the traditional style. The animal is shown upright and alert, with its head raised, its mane sculpted into a spiral and its expression expressive. The tail is curled in a stylised manner, with the paws resting firmly on the base. On the underside is an engraved inscription ‘纵横风景’. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
