Description.
Pale green jadeite with intense emerald-coloured spots. The piece features a vertical carving depicting the immortal Liu Hai in a cheerful and dynamic pose, wearing traditional clothing and holding a three-legged toad above his head. In one of his hands he carries a string of openwork coins, while his feet rest on a rounded container. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
