Description.
A small, finely worked jadeite inkwell with a trapezoidal morphology, gently curved edges and rounded corners. The piece is carved from warm beige-toned jade, with brown veins in certain areas. The upper part has a concave indentation to contain the ink, with a slightly raised rim to prevent spillage. One of the sides is richly decorated with a high relief depicting a stylized dragon with a sinuous body and a serene expression, surrounded by scrolls and vegetal elements. It shows traces of natural patina. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
