Description.
A rectangular plaque finely carved in white jadeite with green veins, showing on one side a small scene with a praying mantis on a leafy branch. The reverse has a long poem in relief. The upper part shows a frieze of geometric fretwork, in the archaic style with a central suspension hole. The stone has a smooth patina. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
