Description.
Oil on canvas. A Valencian genre landscape depicting colourful boats amongst the reeds in the Albufera. The work is characterised by a thick, impasto brushstroke, which renders the dense vegetation in the background and the greenish reflections on the water. Signed ‘J. Checa’ in the lower left-hand corner. Inscription: ‘“La barraca del tío Tomás” 'El Perelló' I. Illuis’ on the upper strip of the frame.
