Description.
A modelled porcelain bowl with a narrow circular foot and a rounded profile, ending in a slightly everted lobed mouth. It is covered with a characteristic Junyao glaze of blue-tinted glazes with lavender hues and purple copper flecks that are irregularly distributed across the surface. The gently undulating rim emphasizes the elegance of the piece, while the unglazed base reveals the light-brown ceramic paste, which is typical of these pieces. The combination of colours and the glazed texture add a distinctive and aesthetic character that is appreciated in pieces from this period. Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) or later.
Height: 6.5 cm; Diameter: 19.6 cm
