Description.
Classic battle set from the Indo-Persian region. Both are decorated with intricate arabesques made using the koftgari technique, possibly using a fine gold and silver inlay colloquially known as ‘Ganga Jamuna’. The khula-hud helmet has a support at the top for inserting feathers, generally used in military parades. The interior of the Sipar shield still retains traces of the padded fabric armour.
Helmet size: 34.5 x 29 cm (approx.); Shield diameter: 38 cm
