Description.
A natural agate bead, elongated in shape and slightly wider in the centre. It is decorated with an ivory-coloured pattern on a black background, featuring 21 circular motifs or ‘eyes’ arranged in horizontal rows, framed by sinuous lines. Tang Dynasty (618–907) or later.
