Description.
Natural jade, white in colour with subtle traces of earth due to its age. The seal is crowned by a relief carving depicting a powerful imperial dragon, its scaly body winding its way through stylised cloud scrolls; note the meticulous detail in the claws, the flowing mane and the prominent jaw holding a pearl. The four sides of the square body feature an extensive incised inscription. The base retains the seal impression bearing the characters ‘神骏六之宝’. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
