Liang Sicheng (1901 - 1972) and Lin Huiyin (1904 - 1955) "Rock with pedestal".

Ink and watercolor on paper. The central part depicts a craggy rock on a pedestal formed by ruyi borders, lotus bands and the infinity knot symbol in the center. In the lower left corner is signed "梁思成" (Liang Sicheng) and stamped.  

Prominent in the upper left corner is a poem, "嵯峨怪石倚云间, 抛掷于今定 / 几年苔藓作毛因雨长, 藤萝穿 / 鼻任风牵" which is signed "林徽因题记" (Lin Huiyin Inscription) and sealed. She is regarded as the first woman architect in China and outstanding writer in the history of modern Chinese culture.
