Description.
Globular ‘liulí’ (琉璃) bead. It has a pale blue base colour. The surface is decorated with multiple flowers with a lemon-yellow centre surrounded by five black ‘petals’. Each flower is inscribed in concentric circles, which are in turn framed by a thick yellow grid. Tang Dynasty (618-906 AD).
