Description.
Circular bead made of liuli or glass paste (琉璃) with a cobalt blue base. It is decorated with a dense and dynamic pattern of black and white ‘eyes’ and concentric spirals covering the entire surface. It shows patina due to its age. Tang Dynasty (618-906).
