Description.

Modelled ceramic dish with a lobed contour and gently wavy rim. The surface is decorated with a light celadon glaze as a background, against which purple glaze flecks stand out. The painterly effect of the purple glaze, characteristic of Jun pieces, adds dynamism and depth to the composition, taking advantage of the unevenness of the glaze to suggest natural elements. The contour is finely outlined, and the base features a thin unglazed rim. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.

Height: 5.7 cm; Largest diameter: 29.8 cm
