Description.
A bead carved from fine Hetian white jade with a ‘ram’s fat’ hue. It depicts the expressive, smiling face of a Luohan, with arched eyebrows, prominent cheekbones and elongated earlobes, showing his hair tied back and a longitudinal piercing. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
