Description.

A Buddhist rosary comprising one hundred and eight biconical beads carved from hyaline quartz of remarkable transparency and vitreous lustre. Each bead is softly polished with subtle facets and a central hole, strung on a ceremonial red cord. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
