Description.
An antique Malayer carpet from Persia, woven in wool on a cotton backing. It features a navy blue field decorated with a dense, repetitive Herati pattern, composed of small flowers, rosettes and stylised leaves in reddish and ochre tones.
The design is framed by several borders, notably a main border on a light blue or greyish background featuring a continuous floral pattern. It retains short fringes at the ends and clean side edges.Size 158 x 305 cm
