Manuel Diago Benlloch (1903–?) ‘Fan-shade with Andalusian Lady’

Hand-painted fabric panel. At the centre of the composition is a portrait of a woman wearing traditional Andalusian attire, surrounded by large roses. Signed “M. Diago” in the bottom right-hand corner, the panel is mounted on a dark neutral background that brings out the colours of the painting. The entire piece is protected within a folding screen with a gilded wooden frame featuring classic lines.
