Description.
Watercolor on paper. A serene coastal view of the lagoon, with detailed reed vegetation in the foreground. The artist combines the washes in the background with more linear, short, pigment-laden brushstrokes in the foreground. In this way, he skillfully defines the reeds and rushes without losing the freshness inherent to the technique. Signed “Martinez Araque” in the lower left corner of the work.
