Description.

A Meiping-type porcelain vase with a globular body and short neck, decorated with underglaze glaze in cobalt-blue and iron-red tones. The main composition develops around the body, with a continuous design of undulating branches laden with open pomegranate fruits, revealing the seeds, and large peony flowers in full bloom. The leaves, with their vigorous outline and well-defined veins, are distributed in a harmonious rhythm along the surface. At the top, the shoulder of the vase is topped with an ornamental band composed of stylized vertical lobes topped with scrolls, enclosed within a decorative band of waves and dots that encircles the neck. Just above the foot is a border of hanging leaves. On the base is a six-character cobalt-blue seal “大清乾隆年制”.
