Description.
An elegant ceremonial vase with a graceful Meiping silhouette, modelled from stoneware with a slender neck ending in a distinctive, flower-shaped, undulating rim. The body, with its prominent, rounded shoulders, is covered in a thick glaze of a lavender-blue hue, speckled with expressive purple-toned flecks. The slightly flared base reveals the exposed ceramic body in a soft terracotta colour with traces of an earthy patina. Song Dynasty (960–1279) or later.
Height: 37 cm; Base diameter: 9.5 cm
