Ming dynasty 'Phoenix and pearl' jade archer ring

A light-coloured jade ring with bas-relief decorations. It has an irregular profile, with two thin bands at the top and bottom of the perimeter. In the centre is a continuous scene with a flaming pearl and a beautiful phoenix with a closed beak, outstretched wings covered with feathers, and a long tail. The piece is remarkable for its meticulous detail. It shows patina from antiquity.  Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644)
