Description.
Screenprint on paper by the artist Nahum Gilboa (1917–2015). The composition offers a detailed panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem, rendered in the artist's characteristic, intimate, and naive figurative style. The scene depicts a vibrant array of stone buildings, domes, minarets, and stepped alleyways teeming with passersby, bordered on the right by the imposing crenellated walls that open onto a deep valley of olive groves and surrounding hills beneath a sky partially covered with soft clouds. Signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right corner, "Nahum Gilboa," and numbered as a limited edition, "A.P. 6/30" (Artist's Proof), in the lower left corner.
