Description.
Carved Nanhong agate seal in the shape of a double gourd (hulu). It is adorned with a dragon entwined among cloud scrolls, taking advantage of the agate's layers of colour. The agate is white in the lower layer, while the upper layer is an intense crimson red. The matrix shows the characters ‘快雪堂’ incised. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
