Description.
Reddish and white Nanhong stone depicting a smiling child carrying a large lotus leaf on his head. The carving takes advantage of the natural veins to highlight the contrast between the skin and the lotus. The piece has a transverse perforation for use as a pendant. Qing dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
