Description.
A table clock made of galvanised sheet metal/gilded bronze. The case features lavish historicist ornamentation with scrollwork and architectural mouldings. The dial, in black enamel with gilded Roman numerals and a pearled bezel, bears the signature of the Valencian clockmaker ‘Genaro Mústieles – Valencia’. The piece is crowned by a sculptural group depicting a medieval knight alongside his steed. On the reverse, the Paris-style movement with hour and half-hour chime bears the stamp of the renowned French watchmaker ‘S. Marti et Cie.’ and engraved numbering. It shows signs of wear and a patina consistent with its age.
Size: 42 x 11 x 32 cm
