Description.
A necklace composed of quartz beads in various shades, centred on a main pear-shaped pendant of ruby-red quartz with a tapered cut. It is flanked symmetrically by spherical gold-coloured beads, alternating with faceted transparent purple beads. With an adjustable clasp. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
Bead sizes: 39 x 16 mm (main); 9–10 m (spherical).
