Octagonal wooden box with marquetry ‘Arabesque style’, 20th century

An octagonal box made of wood, decorated throughout with fine marquetry. The lid has a geometric design based on stars and interlaced motifs, using small inlays of wood of different shades, bone and mother-of-pearl. The sides repeat patterns with details of diamonds and ovals. The interior is lined with orange quilted fabric. It does not have a key.
