Description.
A necklace composed of 108 spherical beads made of liuli “琉璃” or “coloured polish”, with a translucent green hue. Interspersed are small, brightly coloured orange beads, used as rhythmic markers, and finished with decorative carved stone beads. This type of necklace, also known as “mala”, is traditionally associated with Buddhist practice and ritual, maintaining a restrained and harmonious design. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
