Description.
Portable inkwell made of brass, finely engraved with geometric and calligraphic motifs. The piece consists of a rectangular body decorated with inscribed cartouches and borders, an ink reservoir with a hinged lid, and a side compartment for pens. These inkwells, known as divit or mürekkeplik, were common among scribes in the Ottoman Empire.
