Lithograph on Arches paper. The original composition by the brilliant Malaga-born master Pablo Picasso (1881–1973). The work presents an expressive male face in profile, rendered with a subtle grayish line that defines the essential features of the eyes, nose, and lips, complemented by fine stippling that emulates a beard. Over this underlying drawing are superimposed bold strokes of waxy-looking color in light green and red tones, accompanied by three circular patches of bright yellow strategically placed on the forehead, cheek, and neck. Dated in the plate by the artist in the lower right corner "16.5.64." with the Roman numeral "IV" just below. Year of publication: 1964.
